KNIC IN SEMICON SOUTHEAST ASIA 2026: REVEALING VIETNAM’S NEXT-GENERATION INDUSTRIAL CITY MODEL

SEMICON Southeast Asia 2026, the region’s largest semiconductor technology event, has officially opened at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur. Under the theme “Shaping the Future,” this year’s exhibition is not only a showcase of technology, but also reflects the ongoing transformation of the global semiconductor supply chain.

One of the key trends highlighted at this year’s event is the rapid growth of advanced semiconductor packaging technologies, driving increasing demand for industrial ecosystems capable of supporting integrated manufacturing supply chains – from technical infrastructure and logistics to workforce development and supporting industries.

Representing KNIC – KN Industrial City, and accompanying the National Innovation Center (NIC), KNIC is proud to introduce its next-generation industrial city model in Dong Nai, designed to capture the growing shift of high-tech supply chains into Southeast Asia and Vietnam. With strategic connectivity to Ho Chi Minh City, Long Thanh International Airport, and the key seaport system in Southern Vietnam, KNIC is developing a modern industrial ecosystem to meet the rising demands of the semiconductor and high-tech electronics industries.

The two projects, KNIC Nam Long Thanh and KNIC Dong Long Thanh, are positioned as “high-value transfer hubs” with strong potential to enhance business connectivity, support technical workforce development, and strengthen the competitiveness of the local high-tech industrial ecosystem.

In addition to exhibition activities, KNIC representatives also participated in business networking programs and meetings with regional and international semiconductor ecosystem partners. KNIC’s presence at SEMICON SEA 2026 further reinforces its commitment to developing modern industrial infrastructure where technology and sustainability go hand in hand, contributing to Vietnam’s growing role in the global semiconductor value chain.
