KNIC EXPANDING COLLABORATION WITH THE NORTHERN BUSINESS COMMUNITY
KN Industrial City (KNIC) hosted the KNIC Exclusive Gathering & Networking 2026 at the National Innovation Center (NIC) in Hanoi, bringing together more than 100 representatives from businesses, investors, consulting firms, and partner organisations.
The event aimed to strengthen engagement with the northern business community, introduce KNIC’s development direction in Dong Nai, and expand opportunities for collaboration across high-tech industries, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and data centres.
The event also marked the next step in KNIC’s series of investment promotion activities carried out in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and various international markets throughout 2026.

Strengthening the Link Between Innovation and Industrial Infrastructure

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy General Director of KN Holdings, shares practical perspectives on investor needs and the operation of next-generation industrial parks.

The event was held at the National Innovation Center, one of Vietnam’s key hubs for advancing the national innovation ecosystem, supporting businesses, developing talent, and building expert networks in strategic technology sectors.
Most recently, on May 14, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung visited and worked with NIC. During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister called on the Center to continue strengthening its role in leading the national innovation ecosystem and enhancing connections between the Government, research institutions, businesses, and technology experts.
However, for a technology concept to move from the research laboratory to the factory floor, or from a design blueprint to an operating production line, businesses need more than just manufacturing space. Technical infrastructure, power supply, logistics, human resources, and investment support throughout the project lifecycle must all be developed in a coordinated manner.

A KNIC representative highlights Dong Nai’s key investment advantages, including its strategic location, connectivity infrastructure, and comprehensive business support ecosystem.
At the event, KNIC introduced our “Next-generation Industrial City” model, in which infrastructure, energy, logistics, technology, and investor support services are integrated within a single ecosystem.
This approach is designed to support sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and data centres, all of which place demanding requirements on power quality, capacity scalability, water supply, digital infrastructure, environmental standards, and uninterrupted operations.
Energy Becomes a Key Factor in Site Selection
In 2026, northern Vietnam continued to face significant pressure on electricity supply as power demand increased rapidly, while the development of new generation capacity and transmission infrastructure remained constrained. In June, peak power demand in the region exceeded 30,000 MW.

The event in Hanoi welcomed a strong turnout of representatives from businesses, investors, consulting firms, and partner organisations.
For power-intensive sectors, particularly data centres, available capacity, supply stability, backup solutions, and future scalability are all critical considerations when selecting an investment location.
Against this backdrop, power readiness is increasingly becoming one of the key criteria for businesses evaluating potential investment sites. For large-scale data centres, electricity supply must not only meet current capacity requirements but also provide long-term stability, redundancy, and room for expansion.
At KNIC, energy planning is incorporated from the earliest stages of development rather than being treated as an additional utility component after the project has already taken shape.
KNIC Nam Long Thanh Prepares Infrastructure for High-Tech Industries
KN Industrial City is the industrial real estate and logistics investment and development arm within the diversified ecosystem of KN Holdings.
With nearly 50 years of development, KN Holdings operates across real estate, tourism, services, renewable energy, and industrial infrastructure. The Group’s experience in energy investment provides an important foundation for KNIC to develop industrial parks under an integrated and sustainable model.
In Dong Nai, KNIC is developing two strategic projects, KNIC Nam Long Thanh and KNIC Dong Long Thanh, with a combined development scale of 2,000 hectares.
Among them, KNIC Nam Long Thanh covers 1,000 hectares and is positioned as an industrial destination for high-tech industries and digital infrastructure. Priority sectors include semiconductors, advanced electronics, artificial intelligence, data centres, automation, precision engineering, aerospace supporting industries, and smart logistics.

The Q&A session created a space for direct dialogue between KNIC and the northern business community.
Under the project’s planning direction, four 110 kV and 220 kV substations are planned, with a combined capacity of approximately 800 MVA and potential expansion of up to 2.5 GW. Rooftop solar systems have the potential to reach approximately 600 MW, combined with a battery energy storage system (BESS) of around 60 MW.
Alongside production infrastructure, KNIC Nam Long Thanh is planned around an integrated Work – Live – Learn ecosystem, incorporating vocational training facilities, accommodation for experts and workers, and supporting services. This model is designed to help address workforce needs, improve the quality of the working environment, and create conditions for businesses to achieve stable, long-term development.

Business representatives actively raised questions about infrastructure, energy, and investment opportunities across KNIC’s two projects in Dong Nai.
Expanding Partnership Programmes in Northern Vietnam
As part of the event, KNIC announced a partnership programme for consulting firms, brokerage partners, and strategic partners, aimed at expanding its investment promotion network and supporting northern businesses in exploring opportunities in southern Vietnam.

Through the programme in Hanoi, KNIC looks forward to continuing to receive the interest, trust, and partnership of the business community. A conversation may begin with the question of where to invest, but its long-term value lies in the ability to work together to turn plans into reality.
